Haiti – Tennis : The Haitian-Japanese Naomi Osaka wins the China Open

Saturday, in the semi-finals of the Beijing WTA tournament (China Open), Haitian-Japanese Naomi Osaka (21 years old, 4th in the world) qualified for the finals winning against the Danish Caroline Wozniacki (29 years and 19th in the world) in two sets [6-4, 6-2] and 46 minutes.

With this victory, Naomi won her ticket to the grand final where she will face the Australian Ashleigh Barty (23 years old and number 1 in the world) who with difficulty qualified in the semifinal against the Dutch Kiki Bertens (27, 8th in the world) [6 -3, 3-6, 6-6 (9/7)] in 2h20 minutes

This Sunday, October 6, in the final of the WTA tournament in Beijing (China Open), Naomi Osaka won against the world number 1, the Australian Ashleigh Barty in 1h50 mn and 3 sets [3-6, 6-3, 6 -2] and won the title of China Open.

The loss of the first set did not destabilize Naomi who instead put more impact and precision in his strikes, enough to outflank his Australian rival, who then had to undergo the pace of exchanges.

With this 10th consecutive victory, she will win a place in the standings Monday and will settle on the third step of the world podium.

What will enable her to approach the Masters in Shenzhen from October 27 to November 3 in the best conditions.

Born in Japan on October 16, 1997 in Chūō-ku (Osaka), from a Haitian father and a Japanese mother, her family immigrated to the United States when she was 3 years old.
