Ephesians 1:22-23 says, “And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fulness of him who fills everything in every way.”
This letter to the Ephesian Church, was written by the Apostle Paul, somewhere around A.D. 62, while imprisoned in Rome. Ephesus, was a costal city located near the nexus of the Cryster River, and the Aegean Sea.
Paul spent close to three years working to establish the Ephesian Church. Thus, the Ephesian Church played a major role in influencing Christianity and the spread of the Gospel into the cities and region of Asia Minor.
